The threaded portion is friction welded to the outer tube, reducing the weight of the prop without compromising its strength. Each Acrow Prop comprises an inner and outer tube, welded base plates at the top and bottom, a collar with a handle to adjust the height, and a pin to secure the prop at the ideal height.
